transformation process. To achieve this, it carried out the following: 1) Successfully raised capital of Ps. $7,952 million (approximately US $392 million). 2) Made early repayment of part of its bank debt amounting to approximately US $575 million. 3) Spun off its entire equity stake in Alpek. The approval took place on October 24, and the transfer of ALFA\u2019s stake to Controladora Alpek occurred on April 7, 2025.\nALFA now offers direct access to Sigma, a growing food business with operations in 17 countries and leading brands across all its categories and regions. The spin-off process of ALFA\u2019s equity interest in Axtel was completed.\nSigma expanded its operations in the United States through the acquisition of Los Altos Foods and a processing plant in Iowa. Additionally, the company divested its operations in Italy, focusing on key markets to improve profitability in Europe.\nAlpek focused on improving its competitiveness. The company streamlined its operations by closing two plants, in Monterrey and Cooper River, and paused the construction of its plant in Corpus Christi, Texas. It also promoted new business models such as Grill House\u00ae and CONVY\u00ae, both with e-commerce platforms. Additionally, it sold two plants in Europe to continue its plan to improve EBITDA margins.\n \nAxtel launched its new mobile telephone service \u201cAlestra M\u00f3vil\u201d, the first enterprise mobile virtual operator (MVNO) in Mexico, to manage processes and fixed capacities from mobile devices.
